To promote and encourage the various communities of Leicester to value their democratic vote and engage with the democratic process by;
Ensuring all people eligible are registered to vote in good time before any general or local council elections.
Providing access to information on candidates and their voting records.
Arranging access to meet and discuss pertinent issues with candidates on an individual or collective basis.
Preparing a manifesto of pledges in line with the needs and aspirations of the Leicester and Leicestershire community.
Educating the community on the election manifestos of any political parties and independent candidates.
Ensure the above reaches all sections of the local communities across all voting age groups.
Working in partnership with other organisations to amplify and disseminate relevant information to the local communities.
Ensure credibility, integrity and fair due process is always maintained.
To engage with community groups who wish to work with us and spread the message of the importance of engaging with the democratic process.
To hold elected members of parliament or local councillors to account for their pledges and commitments made during their electoral campaigns.
Maintain ongoing direct dialogue with elected members of parliament or local councillors in relation to matters of community interest and LCV concerns.
To become a unifying mechanism to reach common ground and achieving goodness within our communities.
